A structural analysis of Delhi’s worsening heat crisis: the urban heat island effect driven by concrete-heavy construction, glass architecture, vehicular heat, and loss of green cover. The article proposes material-level interventions (cool roofs, reflective coatings), urban planning reforms (ventilation corridors, green-blue infrastructure), and social protections (community cooling centres, subsidised cooling).
